Amazon Deals & Bargains

amazon

Amazon is the top online retailer and Brits spend on average £350 each per year buying anything from TV’s to toilet roles. However, when we shop, we only ever like bargains and Amazon provide all the tools you need to take full advantage of their cheap prices…. now we’re going to show you how to use them too.

Sorting through the madness.

One thing to remember is that amazon make it really easy for you to sort through their offers, and believe me there are a lot of them. When we checked there were 3091 Daily Deal offers.

On the left hand side of amazons deal page you will notice that you can filter deals by department, type, price, availability, discount % & customer rating and unless your an avid bargain hunter these filters are an absolute godsend. These filters can be used while browsing any of the deal types we will be talking about.

Amazon typically have Daily Deals, Lightening Deals and Prime Member Only Deals.

Daily Deals.

Daily Deals look like this.(see picture below) They usually last until midnight and can be on absolutely anything. Sometimes the deal will not just be on a single product but on an entire brand like in the example below, “Save up to 50% on Tommee Tipee”

Deal Of Day

If you want to see what daily deals amazon have on now you can see here.

Lightening Deals.

All Lightning Deals appear on the “Today’s Deals” page after sorting for “Lightening Deals” on the filter bar. These deals are available at Amazon.co.uk until either the time for that promotion expires or all the available promotional discounts are claimed. You can claim a particular deal once only.

When a Lightning Deal is available, here’s what you’ll see:

  • The item featured in the deal.
  • Any available variations of the item (for example: different sizes or colours).
  • The list price and the current price for the item on Amazon.co.uk.
  • The promotional discount amount and final price.
  • A status bar indicating the percentage of deals currently in customers’ baskets or purchased.
  • A timer showing how long you have to add the item to your basket and claim the promotional discount.
  • An Add to Basket button if there are available promotional discounts.

Note: When all the promotional discounts for a Lightning Deal are held by other customers, you’ll see a Join Waitlist button and the status bar will show that 100% of the promotional discounts are currently being held in other customers’ baskets or have already been used to purchase the deal. Prime-Exclusive items are products for sale on amazon that can only be purchased if your a member of Amazon Prime. These deals will often offer the best value for money but be quick, the best deals go quickly.

You can find the Prime-Exlusive deals again on the “Today’s Deals” page by filtering for “Prime Early Access Deals”. This is what you will see.
