Amazon typically have Daily Deals, Lightening Deals and Prime Member Only Deals.

Daily Deals.

Daily Deals look like this.(see picture below) They usually last until midnight and can be on absolutely anything. Sometimes the deal will not just be on a single product but on an entire brand like in the example below, “Save up to 50% on Tommee Tipee”

Deal Of Day

If you want to see what daily deals amazon have on now you can see here.

Lightening Deals.

All Lightning Deals appear on the “Today’s Deals” page after sorting for “Lightening Deals” on the filter bar. These deals are available at Amazon.co.uk until either the time for that promotion expires or all the available promotional discounts are claimed. You can claim a particular deal once only.

When a Lightning Deal is available, here’s what you’ll see:

  • The item featured in the deal.
  • Any available variations of the item (for example: different sizes or colours).
  • The list price and the current price for the item on Amazon.co.uk.

  • An Add to Basket button if there are available promotional discounts.

Note: When all the promotional discounts for a Lightning Deal are held by other customers, you’ll see a Join Waitlist button and the status bar will show that 100% of the promotional discounts are currently being held in other customers’ baskets or have already been used to purchase the deal. Black Friday Retailer Deals.

This time we take a look at what plans the big retailers have for Black Friday this year.

amazonLast year amazon sold more than seven million items on this day alone. They sold an astonishing 86 items per second and it proved to be the online retailers biggest EVER sales day in the UK. Are they going to beat that this year?

The most popular items in their Black Friday sales event were Fifa 16, Kindle Fire, Samsung TV’s and the Xbox One.

Check out the amazon Black Friday webpage here.

For starters Argos have advised shoppers this year to check their Black Friday opening hours, does this mean they are planning some big publicised doorbursting bargains?

The best way to keep check of this is by signing up to their newsletter and of course checking back here.

Last year Argos went big with photography discounts, slashing prices by up to 50% across most brands. Their big deal was wiping £150 off the price off one of their Vax vacuum cleaners.

Check out the Argos Black Friday page here.

asos-logoFans of Asos will be hoping that they get some more of the same this year. Last year customers were offered a voucher code entitling them to a 20% discount at checkout.

A good tip – Bookmark items that you know you want to buy a few days before the day – click on “save for later” and you’ll be able to see if it goes on sale on Black Friday.

Check out the Asos Black Friday page here.

tesco

Known mainly for selling groceries, Tesco last year cut up to 70% off hundreds of products from TV’s to hair straighteners.

The company may well match their 70 per cent off electrical items from 2015, though this has not been confirmed.

Last year the store boasted a 15.5 per cent increase in internet sales during Black Friday and raked up to £187.7 million in one week.

Electrical goods such as TVs and laptops were some of the most popular items which were reduced.

boots

Boots is one of the stores expected to push their Black Friday discounts hard this year. Last year Boots offered great deals on most fragrances but nothing, in our opinion as good as their usual 3 for 2 Christmas offer. One highlight last year was the 50% off Emporio Armani She Eau de Parfum deal. Lets hope we get to see something similar this year.

halfords

The popular bike store are getting themselves ready for this years Black Friday and already have details of some deals on their dedicated Black Friday web page. Last year they were offering great discounts of up to 50% on some of the most popular bikes, scooters and toys.

Secret Discounts on Amazon

Amazon Buying Tips.

Amazon’s the biggest name in online shopping and although you can often find some of the best deals on the net there, we want more.

This guide has a few tricks to help slash prices, as well as our Amazon Discount Finder search, which finds secret 75%+ off bargains on electronics, clothes, beauty and more. We will also show how to you can also track price reductions and beat delivery charges.

Don’t forget to check out the latest Amazon deals that we can find here.

Amazon Discount Searches.

Amazon often offers major discounts of 75% or more, yet it directs people to other, higher profit margin products instead.

There is however a geeky way to create your own Amazon searches to display all heavily-reduced bargains. All you need to do is fiddle with the Amazon web addresses to bring up lists of knock-down prices.

The problem, as you have probably guessed, is that these are a real pain in the butt to configure manually, so you guessed it….

We have done it for you.

Below you can find a list of popular searches that will get you all the bargains you could ever wish for.

If you would like to request a search query let us know and we will send you all the info you need.

Shopping Secrets….

Find those hidden sales

Retailers try every trick in the book to take your money and regular sales, believe it or not, are designed to do just that. Sales are often used to increase walk through or sell unwanted stock in time for next season’s must have but to benefit you have to be quick. With our savvy tip’s you will never miss out on that next great bargain.

Decipher hidden discount codes on store price tags.

Store tags. They’re not just there to look nice. In preparation for sales, shop staff usually scribble numbers, letters or dots on price tags. Its a sale, the retailer isn’t going to re-tag every item is it? Take a close look and if you spot anything on the tag that resembles this, Id hold off, It may just about to be reduced in the next upcoming sale.

codes

We’ve seen comments online that this is system is likely used at Next, Monsoon and River Island.

So while inspecting the tags won’t guarantee a bargain, as don’t forget, the item could always sell out, it sometimes pays just to hold that extra couple of days.

Check the numbers.

Large retailers sometimes use price codes to secretly communicate to staff which models need to be shifted quickly to make way for new stock.

numbers

looking online the key to these codes lies in the last digit of a price. While most prices end in 9, if one ends in 7 or 8  it usually means that model has been discontinued. If the price ends with a 1, the item is often especially old clearance stock.

Haggling on the internet?

Many online retailers now offer an online chat feature. Use it to you advantage and haggle to your hearts content.

Now we would suggest asking a couple of questions about the product your interested in before maybe suggesting you can buy somewhere else cheaper or just stalling over the price.

This wont get you the biggest savings but the chances are you may get a discount code or some other incentive to buy there and then.

Every penny counts.

Amazons super saver delivery.

Amazon offer a free delivery option for spending £20 so make sure your purchase efficiently.

Delivery costs anything from £1.50 to £6, but this clever tool at Super Saver Delivery scours Amazon for filler items to boost your purchase up to the £20 minimum.

Good times…
